Kidnapping victims for ransom isn’t uncommon and we have heard about numerous cases like that, some of which have a happy ending while others turn into tragedies. However, there is one extraordinary case about a captured rabbit and a threat to cook and eat the animal.

The two men found the cute animal in 2005 and decided to use it in order to get some cash. They made a website where they threatened to eat the bunny named Toby unless they got $50,000. They actually received more than $20,000 in donations but finally reached an agreement with the website Bored.com and the bunny was saved.
Fortunately, the story had a happy ending. The owner of the Bored.com website read about the rabbit in newspapers and magazines, and decided that this barbarity shouldn’t continue any longer. He and the two men reached an agreement but the terms of their deal haven’t been made public.
